Hello ArduROV!

I like your ROV and the video you share!

I got a pair of questions that I hope You can/will answer.

I use a GoPro Hero 3+ behind a dome like you do. But I can't get the camera to focus. I know that there was a similar problem with GoPros older housings (they used to have a small dome port) and they then changed to a flat port on more resent housings.

Do you have a diopter lens to fix this?

Second, I see that you control the camera by pin 12 on the 30pin bus. I have tested that and realized after some research that option doesn't exist on GoPro Hero 3+. The GoPro Hero 3+ has built in wifi, and maybe the bus has changed because of that?

Does your camera have wifi?

Best regards,
Kale

I use the standard lens and I dont have any problems with the autofocus. It is very important to clean the lens and the dome very carefully before you dive. If the dome or the lens is not clean, the camera will focus on the dome or the lens.
Do you use the watertight GoPro housing in the dome? This might be a problem for the focus.

The discripion of the bus is for the older GoPros. Im not using the GoPro bus plug anymore. Im using only the USB plug for PowerIn and Video out for the GoPro3. Normally I start the camera manually and sometimes by the wifi remote control.

Excellent Video, your ROV is very agile but also very stable which makes the video look good.
Surprising lack of fauna in the water despite the water being very clear. What depth did you go down to? Are there any fish there?

On this dive I have seen no fish. But next day I did another dive on the other side of the dock. There are a lot more algues and I saw some fishes in the algues but it is very difficult to drive the ROV through the algues without getting stuck with the tether or the ROV.

The next day was also a very windy day and the water was not very clear.

Most of the video was at depths between 2 and 5 meters.
