Servo Control . . . I am missing something here.

Hello folks,

I have hit a snag that I had not considered in the design process considering the pan and tilt function of the camera. As a lot of you may know, and I just learned-- servos use a three wire system +, -, and signal. I got the first two down no problem; That third one though...

My original intention was to simply hook the two servos up to a 4 position hat switch . . . it is not that easy.

I understand now they use a language to position themselves, can someone please explain it to me and maybe how to build or find an encoder/decoder. I understand how it works in a wireless receiver system but when operating on a tether what am I missing?

Thank you!
