Steve strikes again! You always have the answers to almost everything thanks. I will look into your test. Also I haven't heard of u seals but it sounds interesting. Does anyone know of a good supplier of oil seals or seals like it?

I am using V-Ring seals from Mcmaster Carr PN9572k31. Have only tested to 8ft so far. The smallest diameter is 1/4". I used several "telescopic" pieces of brass tubing to increase the size of the shaft. I will attach pictures if I can get them resized small enough to add.
