I wonder,I have a camera with Optical 10x zoom and the Optical zoom is not working through Clear Cast Acrylic Tube (wall thickness 6mm)? Camera is working fine through Acrylic Tube without zoom.

Interesting, and thanks for posting. I wondered myself how window shape affects focus and how it may magnify or distort. A bummer it seems if you are set on having optical zoomability in the cylindrical housing. Hope you get it sorted out

Just a thought, maybe try it in water and see if that improves things.
