ROV Asia parts

Post by Citrushund »

Hi everyone.

Im not an expert in electrical circuit or arduino programming. So im starting to think that the ROV Asia boards are a bit easier for me to start up with. Does anyone have some laying around not using anymore ?

I do have kinda all parts for completing my ROV with an arduino mega but have no idea where to start or end. If no ROV Asia board can be found, im also willing to buy some expert help to get the curcuit made at least.

Hi Martin, I think the ROV Asia system was a great platform and unfortunatley they seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. I was in contact with Subsea and exchanged a few emails with Duncan, owner operator of ROV Asia a few times asking if they would ever be availible again. He, at that time said they were going to be back in production and availible in a few months but that was half a year ago. I think its a shame that nothing is happening with ROV Asia. He has not responded to my inquiries since last fall. So I do not know whats up with the system if or when it will ever be availible again. Wish I could get my hands on a complete system and see about obtaining a remanufacturing license and putting it back in production for people.

I have a brand new rov asia kit, never been used. I am willing to sell it if you would think you could get it remanufactured. I seem to remember that alot of the circuits was filed down to be anonymised.
I dont remeber how much i paid for it...

Not yet I am afraid to report. My friend is very busy with a new business and since this is a non paying gig for him it might take a while before he has time to rip into this.
