The SeaFlea

Post by micoma »

This is my first build. All the details are at http://micomarov.weebly.com/. Everything looks and works well EXCEPT the ROV won't move. I mean it seems like there is no thrust at all. I have asked for help with that in the Thrusters board. I hope someone can help because otherwise it will be a lot of work for nothing.

Just to be clear, the props do spin when it's under water? I was having a similar issue in my thrust tank. It seemed that at higher RPMs the the resistance of the water would actually cause the prop to come loose. I have a notch in my props, so I had them sit on a wing nut. Seemed to fix my issue. Hope this helps.

I tracked my problem down to a short circuit problem with the salt water. The positive and negative were too close at both the tether connection and the plug connection on the back. I have ordered these connectors http://www.ebay.com/itm/181597823448?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT. I have not received them yet so I don't know how much they will help. Certainly can't make it worse than it was. I am also separating the other connectors so the positive and negative are further apart.
