USB webcam over ethernet

Could you extend the cable of a USB webcam by using a pair of these USB to Ethernet adapters:

Specifically, I am planning on using this camera:

I want it to share the Ethernet cable with a control signal going to an arduino at 1200 baud, so there will be a usb hub onboard the rov. A review for the camera says it will work with a usb hub.

Wow great find! Most USB to cat5's at 2.0 speed or upwards of 70 USD, or USB 1.1's that can only go 100 feet for the same price as the one you found. It SHOULD work for getting a signal from one end to the other. However, you may need two pairs of cat5 cables for your line to the Arduino and the camera. The other thing is this is the end that gets connected to the laptop, you also need to find the end that goes connects directly to your devices. But these are amazingly cheap!

As I see it, only a Ethernet adapter called a NIC and not a USB extender.

hopefully, I can use one behind the usb hub, so I won't need to buy two of them, and an ethernet hub.
