Board Cameras

Post by thegadgetguy »

Hello,
I just joined a few days ago and I was wondering if anyone here has any experience using board cameras under water. I think that is probably the way to go for our project, but I am slightly concerned that you have to manually focus them. Will only part of the picture be in focus? If anyone knows the answer to my question or has any comments, that would be great. Thanks.

Normally you would set the focus so objects about 6 inches (or so) away are in focus and then put the camera in the housing. With most cameras anything 6 inches or farther away will now be in focus.

Okay, thanks. I think we'll go this route for our first camera, and if it doesn't work out I guess we can always turn it into a secondary camera ;)
