Pvc housing

Post by electronicscrazy »

I was just wondering about the different types of connecting the pvc pipe, because i have all the perfect things i need for my hull but they're all the push fit type with an rubber seal. would this compromise the watertightness.
What do you suggest i should do, use the push fit stuff or find some stuff that needs to be glued?

I have been struggling with this issue myself. It seems that here in the UK, the only readily available option is the push to fit pipe, especially if you are looking for 3" or larger.

You can order the glue type, but usually the minimum quantity is 5x more then you would ever need to build a ROV...

Has anyone else in the UK found a good source for PVC that is NOT push to fit and does not require a minimum order of 5 meters? (And doesn't cost an arm and a leg!)
