Hello
What guage wiring do you use for your tether. 10??

I use a cat 5 with two 16 gauge wire for power and a rca cable for my 2 cameras

500' of Cat-5 for ROV control and also return video feed. Our power is on-board batteries.

You want to use a thick enough gauge to have enough volts by the time the power reaches the Rov but you don't want the tether so thick you won't be able to drag it around. There's no magic number here a lot is going to depend on how long your tether is and what kind of draw your Rov is using.
