Post by streda »

Hi there.
I'm stilll working on the blueprints jet but a I wonder if you could tell me what to pay attention for and whether my design should work or not.

I want to use the brushless motors with ecs for thusters. But I found out that I have to buy the ones with reverse. To control it I'm using Arduino Mege 2560. I'm slowly getting familiar with that with a strong support of my cousin, who is a programmer. Still wonder if I can really put these motors into the water... I'll try it when my props (44mm diameter) will be delivered.

I'm testing the lights made od 12V halogen bulbs.

I'll let you know when there's something new.
And sorry for my bad English.

Nice looking work. It quite resembles the one I am building. Keep the picture coming.

Nice drawings!
What payload will you have in the main pipe and do you know what volume it has?
I have a similar design as you and I don't need the two floating pipes as you have. On the contrary my ROV needs ballast otherwise it will float.

I'm planing 4 pcs of Gel batteries, controll system and the cam to be inside. The batteries are pretty heavy and about 10x15x7cm. I thought the floating pipes would help the stabilization. I'll see when I asseble all the parts of the mail hull. Also I'm pretty sure I'll have to use some ballast. Thanks for comments.
I'm wondering if a 750KV brushless motors will be enough to move my ROV.
