Controlls

Post by Okkaby »

About some controls.
Could I use a PS2 Controller wit this board ?

http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.php?pcode=PSC28A

And use this to send it to my ROV ?

http://www.designnotes.com/Merchant2/me ... _Count=224

The controls i need is:
Forward and Back on my two main motors
Up and Down on ROV
And pan and tilt on the camera.

Then I only ned a two cabel tether, for controls andd camera.
And if I need more controls I could just add another velleman board and two cabels.
What do you think ?

Yes from the 8023 board in the ROV I will run relays to motors.
And relays to camera controls.

I took the time to do some reading on this setup. And have answered my own questions about it. With the Cytron PSC28A PS2 I/O Converter board using two MD10C Enhanced 10 Amp DC Motor Drivers (one for port and one for starboard dc brushed thrusters) you would have full control, forward, reverse and speed control. The PSC28A also has so many other options that you could include a third MD10C for a horizontal thuster. If you were creative you could even install a seperate poteniometer in the PS2 joystick or on your control console for verticle thruster speed control.
