PS2 controller wireless fail

Post by shaneb24 »

so this PS2 controller system is working so i thought but after fully testing the RF signal is not going down the tether. Any advice i soldered the tether to what i thought was the antenna but not I'm not sure.

please help the board is a MAR105 C -1

i have a send to the rov after c124, i wonder what X1 is and under the wording "L122" i looks like that may be antenna?

What would you do?

x1 is a crystal (the silver can on the right).

soldering a wire to the antenna isn't going to work. antennas are tuned components. it may just look like a piece of wire, but it has very specific dimensions.

Ive heard of guys soldering from antenna to antenna via tether.

that may work with a coax cable if the attenuation isn't too great, but a regular piece of wire won't work.
