Controlsystem for my ROV

Hi I am new on this forum and I wonder if someone could tell me what kind of Arduino boards i need to controll my rov ?
I would like to use a PS2 controller for steering.
And I want to have three thrusters, camera control(pan and tilt) and light switch.
And what do the boards use to comunicate ?

I think first we need to know what your experience level is in electronics/programming, and how interested you are in learning about them. If you just need something to get the job done, using Arduinos may not be the best path to take.

My experience in electronic and programming is below average, but I trying to get more experience by reading.

But I have freinds that are experienced in electronic, but they didnt now anything about Arduino boards.

I have built controls with an oldtime joystick, but would like to use a PS2 controller so i can have a camera with an and tilt.

Do I need two boards one in the controlbox and one im my ROV ?

But if you have any easier controls options I am open for sugestions ?
