Anyone use Pressure Sensors to measure the water pressure around the ROV?

Can't seem to find anything that is greater than 100 psi?

Any help would be great.

Not sure this will help, but I have heard of an analogue version of a depth sensor that is actually pretty cheap to build, but I don't know its depth rating. If interested post a reply.

PaulC,

Yes very interested.

I thought about using oil sending units from a car, but I am not sure what their max rating is also.

You can get industrial pressure transducers that will go to 6000PSI (!), about 100$ in large qty, North American or Euro made. China might have something cheaper?

mind you, these unit can vary from about 1 to 3 inches in diameter, and from 2 to 5 inches long. Visit your nearest industrial recycler, after leafing through Industrial Electronics magazines and catalogs, so that you know what to look for. Most of them will have their ratings printed on the body.
