Independent/Combined Thruster Controls

Post by FloridaMan »

I have limited knowledge of wiring and this is my first project like this so I need a little help on this. My question is, is it possible to have 3 switches for two bilge pump motors, one that controls left thruster, one controls the right thruster, and one that will controls both at the same time? Right now I have 3 on off on momentary rocker switches controlling up/down, left, and right thrusters but would like another switch that will make left and right go at the same time for forward and reverse. I am using 3 pin on off on switches.

Normally with these types of switches you just drive it like tank control... just push both switches up to go forward, both back to go reverse, and one up and one down to fast turn. Is that what you are currently doing and just want something different? or is that method not working?
