Analog Video Balun Problem

Post by Matt87 »

Hello, at the moment I'm testing my ROVER.
On the ROVER a RunCam Swift 2 is installed. The Cam working fine in FPV Mode by wireless transmitter.
But now I installed the CAT5 Cable (75 m long) and on both ends a Video Balun. This one here from Banggood:
https://www.banggood.com/de/2Pair-HD-72 ... rehouse=CN

On the Rover side, I connect Video and GND to + and - on the Balun.
The GND is the same GND from the Camera Power Source. Because the Camera dosen't have a Second GND just for the Video.
On my Groundstation there is the Second Balun. Connected to + and -.

I try to measure the Volts. On the Camera before the Balun and I have 1,2 Volts. Behind the Balun i have almost nothing.
Do I use the wrong Balun or do I have a wiring issue?

I can see no Signal on my VGA Screen
Thank you

All good, did two things wrong and I think one Balun was broken.
Now it's working fine only the image quality is a little bit bad.
I see a lot of ants in the Screen. ;)
