Thrusters on Ebay

Post by Oaxaca »

Ebay is flooded with these thrusters. I have ordered a pair. Has anyone else tried them?

Looks like a brushless motor with a prop inside a 3D printed PLA cowling. You'll need a motor controller to go with each one. Reasonable price for what it is though.

They look pretty good, might use them as replacements for mine when they corrode too much.

Well, they arrived and I have them hooked up to a pair of HobbyKing ESCs. New to RC, my biggest delay came from figuring out how modern ESCs work! Plan to drop them in the water this weekend on a simple PVC catamaran for a trial. Will report.

there seem to be two kinds, brushed and brushless.
I've ordered a brushed one (hopefully) to try it out.
If they really are good for 100M they should be usefull.

I've seen them everywhere, curious to see how they work. Could be replacements or in addition to what I have now.
