Newby Australian-Dutch ROV builders

Hi folks,

Me and my ship-mate thought it would be awesome to have one of those little ROVs to check out the propellers and underwater equipment on our ship, but buying a commercial one turned out to be a bit expensive... So we decided to built our own!

The first prototype, MROV-1 (or "dash 1"), was built on board and turned out working great.

I'm currently back home on leave in Oz and have decided to upgrade it to battery power (as I don't have 230V on the water's edge here).

At the same time the more powerful 6-thruster MROV-2 is being built in the Netherlands by my Dutch colleague.
