 Post subject: cameras embeded in epoxy

I have stripped my onboard camera down to the barebones pc board and lense and was wondering can i embed the camera pc board directly into the epoxy? To give it a little bit of protection from getting water splashed on it and prevent it from coming into contact with anything else in the rov.
