Prop Walk

Post by perfo »

Does anyone suffer from prop walk ?
I'm now looking for some 50 mm props as the main drive but only seem to be getting them in either clock wise or counter clock but not in matched CW/CCW pairs. Does this matter ??

I've done it both ways and truthfully on an Rov I don't think it's really going to make much difference, at least I didn't notice any. If you can find both CW/CCW pairs go for it if not I wouldn't really worry to much about it.

I get my 50mm props from http://www.harbormodels.com/ the usually have both.

Keep in mind that props labeled counter rotating in the US may push your Rov forward while props labeled counter rotating on the other side of the world (say the UK) will push it in reverse. I don't think there is a standard, every time I try to get the correct replacement props for my system I always end up with the wrong ones. It's best to buy them all at once from the same supplier I've found.
