How do you interface the motors with the arduino? Do you use motor controllers with PWM, or relays, or something else? It looks very nice, by the way.

I use motor controller with pwm to control the motors, I'm currently working on integrating a digital compass and on screen display, have both working individually but now need to integrate them together.

Great looking build,

How have you found your thruster to preform? My thruster are the same design although my build has stalled completely at present :oops: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1328054

Hi Rob

I copied your motor design from the RC forum ;)
They certainly move some water, I need to do more testing as I have only done a quick run so far. Trying to get the time is the main thing.

Hi Martin

Its great to see the design being used :D Are you using onboard batteries or supplying power from the surface?
Is your controller a self built unit? Any more details you can share with us? I currently plan on a self built controller although if i had the spare cash i would be tempted with the rov-asia unit.

I know what you mean about getting to time although even talking about rov's is tempting me to look back at my build :geek:

On board batteries. Controller is an Arduino, using USB over cat 5 for cabling, can use up to 150 feet away.

So do you control the Arduino via a computer, using the keyboard or a joystick, or do you have a different method?
