All commercial systems I am aware of have a ground fault system that run over 48v. I would just work with 48V if I were you. You can use an extension cord or just the conductors from one and be able to pump out enough current to work with over 150 feet length tether. I prefer batteries but I need 300+ feet so that rules out topside power for propulsion. without great expense.
