 Post subject: Three Jaw Manipulators

Hey there. Sorry for 2 posts in the same category, but...

Has anyone thought of having 3 jaws on there claw/manipulators? That way it could grip tools (handles). Maybe if it was controlled with something that could be spun it could hold a screw driver. Or, remember the MATE competition? it could spin the oil well closed easily.

I'll try and post a drawing of what I mean. Maybe just a bad paint one, but you know.

Any ideas? Comments? Whatever?

I think I've seen that before. If not, I know what you mean. The hardest part in my opinion would be fabricating the parts necessary.

Update:
The MIT MATE team used one in at least one of the competitions.
