Parallel Jaw vs...

Post by tristanplaysguitar »

Hey.

Does anyone have any opinions regarding parallel jaw grippers to non-parallel jaw grippers. Pros and Cons, etc. It seems like if you could get it right, parallel jaw grippers would be advantageous. But they're a little more complex. Especially when you get into 3-pronged grippers :P

Thanks for your opinion,

Tristan

It depends on what you are using it for. And what is a parallel jaw gripper? lol.

These are Parallel Jaw Grippers (where the gripper fingers open and close parallel to each other.)

and these are (basically) Intermeshing Jaw Grippers.

I think Parallel jaws are more precise and are easier to use to pick up smaller objects and will hold a vast variety of object more securely.
