How much do glass microspheres cost?

I am looking to build an ROV on a budget as a school challenge, and target depth is around 250m. Therefore, I'm assuming syntactic foam might be a necessity for buoyancy and the cheapest option would probably be mixing spheres in epoxy resin. I am not planning on making this robot very big- pocket size, at maybe only 25x15cm at the largest. I won't need a lot of foam for that. Somewhere, I heard that 5l of spheres cost somewhere around $30USD but I don't know how much foam that can make.

How much did you use to make your foam, and what volume/dimensions did it make? How much did it cost and where did you buy it from?

Thanks!
