The easiest way to do this would be to get 2 cameras, possibly in the same housing, and link them to some 3d video goggles

People talk about all kinds of stuff like this in the vex forums. I know there was a very long discussion about building a vex helicopter so I wouldn't be surprised if someone is planning to build an entire rov out of vex parts.

If you take apart one of the newer motors (269 or 393) there is a cylindrical component similar to a shaft collar that goes between the drive gear and the plastic casing. If you remove it you might be able to fit in an o-ring in its place

what ports would an RS485 chip on an arduino use ? I know you can get converters for the usb port, but they can get a bit expensive and take up significant space. All the pwm ports are used up in my plan, which involves the arduino onboard the rov.
