Re: Leakage Test
It is dangerous to make a presure test with air. Because air is compressable, you will have a built in energy that can be fatal. The safest way is to lower it to the desired depth.

Re: Schedule 80 vs. Schdule 40
Hello Sargent, One thing that you will want to consider with this is the weight of the Schd 80. I don't have any exact figures, but because the walls of the pipe are thicker, the outer diameter of the pipe is going to be different, and the weight is going to be higher. It is correct that the wall t...

You don't need the balloon. The oil is not compressable, so if you don't have any airbubbles it will have the same volume 100 feet under water as on the ground.

Re: Power, 10A, How?
You can use an on board battery instead of a battery on land. I have two 5000mAh LiPo batteries in my ROV. Then you can have a much thinner tether.

Re: Relays VS Momentary Flip Switch
I would recommend to use the joystick. It's pretty easy to solder and much easier to manouver.

Re: Slight Positive bouyancy
The easiest way is to fill it with air.
Just make a tank out of PVC pipe and two caps and glue it together to make it water tight.

First. Last week I tried to make an improvement, but ended up destroying the IP cam... A little anoying  So I'm trying to find a good solution. The "old" cam was really good, but the software was not quite as good. It saved the films in an odd file type and had to be converted a cou...

Nice drawings!
What payload will you have in the main pipe and do you know what volume it has?
I have a similar design as you and I don't need the two floating pipes as you have. On the contrary my ROV needs ballast otherwise it will float.
