Re: TigerShark ROV for exploring Puget Sound
My understanding is that the MAX488 only works with Full Duplex, there is no way to make it work in "Half duplex" mode... i think.. I put together a thread with my notes on the MAX488 a year or two ago. You can find it HERE. Suggest double checking wiring between two boards. I see Nick use...

Re: TigerShark ROV for exploring Puget Sound
Just a quick update. I am having tons of trouble getting my 485 converters to work. I am using the wireless PS2 controller and can't figure out what pins to use for high and low to enable comms. It looks like the 485 examples have pin 13 but the PS2 is set on that right now. I am trying to use Nick...

Re: KR2 ROV
Hey Bindo, Thanks for the comments! What method are you using to increase the value in arduino?? I have two key variables that affect the performance of the External Lighting LEDs; "iluminateState" and "brightness". I send both of these values via the EasyTransfer Library from th...

Re: KR2 ROV
Had a few minutes this evening to finally unpack my T100's and 4"hull to see how things laid out.
The creative juices are flowing... Hoping to gain some momentum on the build and move Version 1 from the drawing board to the diving board!- Oct 5th, 2015, 4:13 pm

Re: Experimental ROV Design using Blue Robotics Components
Really enjoying this thread! I am learning A LOT! Keep it up! Would like to ask about the vacuum element of this... I understand the basic concept that the batteries may off gas as they discharge as part of the chemical reaction that actually creates the power that the batteries are used for... but ...

Re: Turnigy TrackStar 18A ESC
Hey Bindo, Thanks for the update! I have heard these ESCs work VERY well! If you look around the forum, BikerBones used them with very successful results. Be sure to keep us posted as to how they work out for you. (Especially interested in the settings and how they affect performance!) Happy Diving!...

Re: Experimental ROV Design using Blue Robotics Components
WOW! Very Impressive thread! I see you have been very busy! I like the direction you are going! I too am playing with a 6 thruster design using the BR T100+BlueEsc and 4" WTC. I am also struggling with the skeleton/frame of the ROV... It would appear you have a much better grasp of the concept....

Another thought would be to throw the comment up on the forum on the BlueRobotics site. I know the team at BR reads that forum daily and they are generally very responsive to questions and feedback there.
