Re: New to Arduino, what should I get?

My control-system is based on two Arduino Mega with a protoboards on it for the different "add-ons". - RS485 comms with the surface For the RS485 you can use one of the hardware serials of the Mega and convert it with a small IC to RS485. I took the MAX490 for full duplex RS485. - Control ...

Re: ArduROV new footage from lake in Germany

On this dive I have seen no fish. But next day I did another dive on the other side of the dock. There are a lot more algues and I saw some fishes in the algues but it is very difficult to drive the ROV through the algues without getting stuck with the tether or the ROV. The next day was also a very...

Re: ArduROV new footage from lake in Germany

I use a GoPro Hero 3+ behind a dome like you do. But I can't get the camera to focus. I know that there was a similar problem with GoPros older housings (they used to have a small dome port) and they then changed to a flat port on more resent housings. Do you have a diopter lens to fix this? I use ...

Re: No thrust. What did I do wrong?

Have you tested in salt- or freshwater?
Maybe you habe a isolation problem.
If your first test was in saltwater try freshwater. It should work better if this is the problem.

Re: MPX4250DP Pressure / Depth Sensor

Just a small example for you: Its a nice and warm day. You close your ROV on the pier. Air temperature is 30°C then you dive to the bottom of a lake and the Water is 10 °C at 10m. The outside air pressure is lets say 100kPa. The pressure in the ROV after cooling down: P2 = (V2*P1*T2)/(V1*T1) V1 = V2...

Re: MPX4250DP Pressure / Depth Sensor

In my calculations it is 26mm resolution. (not bad!) In the Datasheet you can see the the sensitivity of 18,8 mV/kPa and the full scale Span of 4705 mV. As I unterstand the output at zero pressure is 204mV and the max output at 250kPa is 4909mV. So the sensor span on Arduino starts at 41 and ends at...
