Re: MPX4250DP Pressure / Depth Sensor
In my calculations it is 26mm resolution. (not bad!) In the Datasheet you can see the the sensitivity of 18,8 mV/kPa and the full scale Span of 4705 mV. As I unterstand the output at zero pressure is 204mV and the max output at 250kPa is 4909mV. So the sensor span on Arduino starts at 41 and ends a...

MPX4250DP Pressure / Depth Sensor
I am using MPX4250DP as pressure/ depth sensor in my ROV. Pressure Sensor Data.PNG From datasheet. I don't know the precision (resolution) of the sensor in terms of pressure and depth. According to the resolution of Arduino UNO ADC (0 - 1024) and scale of sensor output (0 - 5 V) the pressure would b...

Re: 10 m USB Extension cable with USB Hub
USB only allows 2-3m Cable. For more you need an ACTIVE USB-Repeater. You cannot connect more than 2 repeater without seperate power supply. Passiv cable will cause transmission-errors. So you are saying what I have is a passive repeater cable? I bought it from a local tech store. I think it's from...

10 m USB Extension cable with USB Hub
I am planning to connect a webcam and Arduino to a USB Hub and connect the Hub to a 10 m USB Extension cable. I can successfully connect the Arduino with both 10 m cable and USB Hub. Webcam : Logitech c270h 720p HD webcam, Power rating : 5V 500 mA When I connect my webcam to 10 m cable the webcam wo...

Connector
Hi there,
I am searching for an electrical connector to connect the wires to the hull of my ROV.
Max depth - 20 m.
Pins - 25 (yes, that's a lot of pins)
Voltage - 12 V
Amp - 10 A max
Can you suggest a decent and maybe low cost waterproof connector?

Re: Power Tether to ROV
Since ROVs generally don't run all thrusters at full power at one time but tend to do small movements, I would guess that your continual amperage draw would not exceed 30-35 amps. That being the case, you will will probably want to run 10 gauge power cable, unless you run a higher voltage and step ...

Power Tether to ROV
I am providing electrical power to my rov from the surface. My rov has 6 thrusters, each utilizing 800kv brushless motors (11.5V Max current 9.5A), two servos, two leds and a camera. The cable length is 50 feet. What type of power cable should I use? And what type and capacity of battery should I us...

Re: 750kv Brushless Thruster Design Explanation / Assembly
Hi there, I see your Aquaprop propeller is 4 mm diameter and propeller adapter shaft is 5 mm diameter. How does it fit into the propeller? I am planning to use this propeller with my 800kv motor. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__61598__Turnigy_3_Blade_Boat_Prop_3P_x_42_x_15_1pc_.html What do y...

Propeller Choice
Hi there, I am using this 800kv brushless motor in my ROV. http://goo.gl/3SYsCY Now I am down to choosing the propellers. I am using a vectored thrusters setup with four thrusters as shown in the Fig and another two for vertical thrust. So it may be necessary that the propellers produce nearly equal...
