Re: Commercially available power + ethernet cables
Good night I don't know in depth the characteristics of Cat-6 cables, used in data transmission, but I don't think they're suitable for what you're trying to do. Because other than Voltios you're going to transport Amps through those cables and how thin they are, I only predict short-term frying pro...

Re: First Project
I like that already, in these photos it looks better that you have been careful to protect the connections, however, I would cover with the same the red part of the connector, where the cables are hooked, to improve the sealing. As for the RS485, I attach some links that can help you understand how ...

Re: First Project
Good night from Spain. I'm glad you cheered up to make an ROV. Your design looks nice, but I think I should make you several recommendations. Brushless motors have nothing wrong if they work submerged in water, but we're always talking about "clean water," such as in a pool, or a bathtub, ...

Re: New here!
Welcome to the forum from Spain. I'm sorry to tell you that you have a lot more questions to ask yourself before you start ROV You want It Analog or Digital Analog would be with switches, potentiometers and relays like the one that made http://www.homebuiltrovs.com/ Digital would be with some Arduin...

Re: PCP Air rifle connectors
Good night from Spain.
The only problem I see of those types of fast compressed air connectors is the little space left inside to be able to put any type of electrical connector.
You will already inform us of your investigations and advances.
Greetings.

Re: PCP Air rifle connectors
Good night from Spain. I have never read the use of compressed air connectors to pass the cables, even if it sounds weird or even crazy, is an option to try, to check the result. Although I'm not sure how to pass the wires, you'll have to study and develop the idea a little more. Many times, out of ...
