Re: New build using Blue Robotics components

Very nice!

I have a few ideas for video and control, but no final decisions yet. Part of my goal is to use off the shelf components where ever possible, so I'm still looking at options.

Re: Blue Robotics WTCs

I saw the Blue Robotics housings while at RoboSub. They look very well made and I think the price is very reasonable.

Re: ROV-Control V3

@ROVER3D - Your boards and software look very well done and I am considering using them for a build I am planning. My biggest issue, and what keeps me from buying your boards, is that the software is closed source. The problem with closed source is that if you should ever stop development or abandon...

Re: Starting 3D CAD? Give Autodesk 123D Design a try!

@Bindo - Nice! I'm finding 123D Design to be surprisingly powerful. Although it doesn't have all the tools I'm used to, I find that I can do most things one way or the other.

Still get a warning message, but it's a Google Chrome warning: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6261569?p=ib_download_blocked&hl=en&rd=1 I've seen this warning before and often times it has nothing to do with viruses or malware, but instead the last reason " Uncommon: You tried ...

Starting 3D CAD? Give Autodesk 123D Design a try!

I needed a cheap and simple 3D CAD app to rough out a design for a new ROV and decided to give Autodesk's "123D Design" a try ( http://www.123dapp.com/design ). I have to say, it is much better than I expected! The tool set is pretty minimal, but so far I've had no problem creating any sur...
