Re: Arduino/Teensy transmitting over RS485?
Hi Ken, Are you using an arduino topside and in the ROV? In that case you could send not the PMW signal over the line but a string representing the command you want the ROV arduino to execute. Topside says PWM11-1024 meaning fullspeed on PWM port 11 in the ROV, you would need only one communication ...

Re: Penetrator for my ROV max. 100 Meter deep
Correct multicore should be multi-strand.
Since he is planning to go to 100M the pressure will be significant. Thinning might do the trick never tried that, i have solid wire in the connectors.

Re: Penetrator for my ROV max. 100 Meter deep
The single core has a reason it is almost impossible to be sure that your epoxy gets in between all the wires of a multicore wire. While water pressure is a sure way to find any crack between the wires. You could use just a short piece of single core and solder a regular wire to it outside the penet...
Re: ROV Speed
Hi,
I have no real clue to which top speed is ideal. I do know that you want control over the speed from slow till fast. Slow for making corners or inspecting an item. And fast if you need to cover some distance.

Re: PCP Air rifle connectors
Hi, For diving there are also quick connectors available air based. These might be easier to by than material related to airsoft. If you worry about the size take a look at hydraulic oil connectors on tractors. Remember only that all these connectors are rated for internal pressure not external pres...
