Re: ROV-Control V3

Hey, yes using two pair for full duplex rs485 and 2x one pair for the two videosignals. Demo coming the next days. Be sure - you can configure EACH thruster arrangement you want to realize. You can configure the power of each of the eight channels for each axis/movement. I'am working on the document...

Re: Autopilot

Hi ROVER3D. Heading-hold and depth-hold are what I want to implement in what I'm building at the moment. Hi rossrov, how you control autoheading and depth? Push a button and the rov hold his depth? How you change this (automatic headed) depth? @RangeROV Shop is online: http://www.rov-control.com/sh...

Re: Condensation?

Hey, have had the same problem. You can use silica gel but it wont work fine if you open the housing just before diving. The silica gel need some time to dry the air. Its important to cool down the air/the housing so the moisture can be absorbed by the silica. If you do it 2-3 times it can be work f...

Autopilot

Hey, one of the last steps of the ROV-CONTROL Software development is the auto-pilot. here are two ways you can control a ROV: The first way is to control motors directly by pushing the joystick to one direction (dive). The autopilot is only used for "hold" depth/postion. For example: If y...

Re: Affordable Syntactic Foam options or Macroballoon source

I was surprised to see polyurethane-based foam was sold as "subsea" buoyancy. I know this foam is used in motor-sports as an "airbag". At high speed impacts it behaves like a soft sponge to absorb the impact. So its not a solid material and collapse under pressure. This is why it...

Re: Lipo in parallel / fuses and charging

Hey, When charging your batteries do you have to disconnect them from your system? No, i do not (physical) disconnect while charging. I am just trying to figure out a easy way to charge the batteries without opening their compartment. The easy way is an external battery connector, wireless activated...

Re: KR2 ROV

Hey,

nice experience.
11.8 ping pong balls are correct

But there are two things i don't understand:
How you want to mount the ping-pong balls to the cable?
And how deep you think you can go before the balls collapse?

brushless motor voltage

Hello, iam currently planning my new sideway-thruster. So i've googled again for new motors and still asked me why there is a voltage-value for each motor. Mostly for 3S lipo (11,1v) - like the waterproof motors from bluerobotics. In ROVER3D i use 6 motors for 3S lipos but powering it up with 4S lip...
