Re: Plexiglass it is, but sheet metal perhaps better ?
It's easier to make it of a steel tube(and cheaper) than a steel sheet. You have to cut it in lenght, bend it to a perfect circle and weld it.I don't know if worths the time and money when you you can find one easily!I know a few shops at my hometown that they sell steel or aluminium tubes and cut the...

Re: magnetic coupler thruster
I didn't test it yet the wet side coupler needs something to ride on on the face. I didn't think about eddy currents do you have a good delrin supplier for 2" round stock When I test it I notice that after a minute motor lost a lot of its efficiency and I change my design to this image.jpg I h...

Nice job!!!
Did you test it?I tried same aproach and I face Eddy current effect problem with aluminium wall between magnets and I had to replace it with derlin plate.

PART TWO:Electronics
I couldn't imagine that all wiring is such a pain.
Since I have to seperate spaces in my hull I had to seperate the electronics. At the front part I place the rov control board ,a step down converter ,lv filter and fuse for Gopro

Re: DROV-bubbles rov
So after four of my welds failed I weld again the four leaks and decide to change the test method. I add a pressure gauge and fill the hull with water. image.jpg I put compressed air from my compressor up to 8 bar(this is my compressor limit) in the hull and let it for 24 hours. image.jpg After a da...
