Re: Topside Battery
Saw this thread and wanted to get my $.02 in. Do any of you think it would be feasible or even a good idea to run a 110VAC line in the tether and then rectify and condition it to yield a stable and usable DC voltage? You could even up the ante and use 220VAC. This would help greatly to eliminate lin...

Hello from Everett, WA
Hi all, I have posted to this forum a couple of times recently but am fairly new to the forum. I am a mechanical designer (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD) by trade and probably an old fart at age 63 since most of you folks seem to be college age. I have a BA in Applied Design and a hobby home machine...

Re: Connect camera to computer monitor?
This is the adapter I ended up ordering for composite video (BNC) output to VGA input. I bought this one because of the many good reviews and it specifically stated it could match my 1440 X 900 LCD screen resolution. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001VLO5BC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui...

Re: Connect camera to computer monitor?
Actually I think this is the one that might work, not the one I previously cited.

Re: Connect camera to computer monitor?
I found these two items. Will either of these work if I also buy an RCA to BNC adapter?

Re: Connect camera to computer monitor?
"I don't have an answer to your question but have you thought about the power requirements of the computer monitor? What power source are you planning on using?"
Not to worry, it will be aboard ship with ship power.

Connect camera to computer monitor?
I just ordered a board mounted surveillance camera that includes a pig tail and connector for 12VDC power and another for video out which is called "BNC Video Out". It features a 1/3″ 960H Sony ExView Super HAD CCD II. I have a spare computer monitor that I would like to use for a camera m...

How about this camera?
Hi all, new guy here. I have been researching web sites and forums lately learning about how I might build an ROV. Right now I am looking at cameras. I found this camera and it seems interesting because of low cost, low light abilities, and a 90 degree viewing angle: http://www.supercircuits.com/700...

Gearbest? Any good?
New guy here. Just looking around for what is available and bought a Sunfounder Super Project Starter Kit to get going (Arduino 2560 clone). Also ordered a 12v bilge pump and was shopping for a motor controller or motor shield for tests. I stumbled across Gearbest (http://www.gearbest.com/developmen...
