Re: Arduino programs
You're right, there should maybe be a forum for Arduino or maybe control type boards. For programming you're better off taking some example code from the Arduino main site that is close to what you want (like the serial com example or maybe a motor control sketch). I am a programmer and almost never...

Re: IPRobot3 cam
I'd say the delay is on the order of .2 to .3 seconds for the same resolution. I hadn't compared with vs. without audio but that makes sense. Wait. Did you say a full 2 seconds? Wow. No I don't think it's increased that much with audio but I'll have to check and compare them now. I think .2 might be...

Re: IPRobot3 cam
Thanks. Yeah I'm imagining on the less critical side, just not being able to grab something with a grabber and in more important situations just totally damaging/losing the ROV or something on the bottom like some hundred year-old coral. <>< Since I posted this I found that some formats are better a...

Re: Gui Pool fun =)
That is a NICE setup man. I really like it. The part where you demonstrated panning around and clearing the tether from the pool vacuum was a great example of why that is a great option to have if you can do it.
Great clarity and operation.

Re: Bot Cousteau- My ROV project
Hey Ross, Thanks for the reply. Mostly I wanted to use a full browser for the camera functions and because I didn't want a small window. I got the IP camera today and it looks pretty cool. Unfortunately right now it ONLY works in IE and it loses some functionality in any other browser. Video is stil...

IPRobot3 cam
I just got my camera today and it looks pretty cool. It's got 3 resolution settings, night vision, PTZ and it's an IP camera so I can view from a browser on my laptop (which means I don't need to get a separate monitor). It was under $80 shipped from Amazon. Here it is: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009...

Re: Bot Cousteau- My ROV project
Thanks for checking in! One interesting thing to note: I spent several days trying to get my serial communications as thin as possible. I devised this really compact code system to send every command in 3 bytes or less, it was really very clever. In practice I couldn't get the damned thing to talk f...

Bot Cousteau- My ROV project
I know it's a corny name. My son came up with it and I think it's awesome though! Hey everyone. Been lurking here for a while and I love the site. I've been bitten by the ROV bug and I'm working through some initial tests and design options now. I'm a C# programmer and a tinkerer. My plan is to work...

Re: Custom ROV Circuit Board - Arduino Based
Hi Nick, I'm new here and I saw your offer to pass along some of your spare boards. I've been trying to decide whether to buy some off the shelf motor controllers or just make my own. Looks like there is another option. Can you tell me if you still have any available and if so, how much for a popula...
