Re: KR2 ROV

There has been some other day projects here and there since my last post. So i will first sta...

Re: PS2 controller code question Brushless motor Arduino
I tried to mix with what I already have, but I'm not sure if what I did is right. I am going to guess you have a pot or something connected to A0 to control speed? I am also thinking that the way the code is written, you will have to HOLD either START or SELECT for anything to happen... As another ...

Poison-Injecting Robot Submarine Assassinates Sea Stars
I feel like maybe this has been posted on here before... but an article with the title: Poison-Injecting Robot Submarine Assassinates Sea Stars to Save Coral Reefs deserves to be posted twice!

Re: Who Sells PVC Pipe In Heavy Wall?
I've not seen anything that thick... but someone did one suggest that i keep an eye out when driving around down. Some construction sites use heaver walled pipe for gas / water lines and they often times will have scraps that are the perfect length for an ROV Hull... finding fittings might be tough....

Re: What do you use for Monitors or Video Diplays?
I've been stuck on this one too... I found a local supplier of monitors that have the LCD "bonded" to the front "glass" which produce around 450nit... they are "Daylight Viewable" but not cheap... (Also known as Optically Bonded) http://www.tru-vumonitors.com/sunl...

Hey ljrc10!
Sorry! Not sure how i missed your questions!
I would be happy to have a quick look at what you have so far...
I have worked quite a bit with Bill Porters PS2 Libraries, and would be happy to see if i can help you out!
Can you post your code so far?

Oh! I like that! That little top compartment works GREAT for protecting the socket when not connected! Very clever!

Re: modular ROV concept
Just a random thought on durability... Will M2 screws/thread be durable enough to withstand repeated tightening and removing of the bolts? With the square concept every bolt really is important to ensure an even compression and effective seal... one worn screw could compromise a segment... just my 2...

Re: Water inside connector
Hey Jaman, Have a look at this thread. HERE. This is the same method I am using to connect my B.R. T100's. The bullet connectors provide a electrical connection that penetrates the hull, without letting water in (assuming you are careful mounting and potting all the female halves!) Works like a char...
