Re: ROV Without a Name
Yes it looks bad at the moment but made no sense to make it look good if it wasn't going to stay together. But it does handle well and all the tying off the wires and making it look better will happen, still working out little things I am considering a second up/down thruster so not everything is pe...

Ok So its built and has been flown twice so I guess its now an ROV and not a Plumbing experiment :D This project started as a copy of the plans I got from the guy in England most here have probably seen it, Black PVC pipe looks kinda like a sub. Anyway I have made several changes to the plans but it...

Bikerbones Did you attach your tether with the same external exposed bullet connectors that you showed back in the beginning of this thread? I used a 12 pin male/female that I attached to the ROV so I could disconnect the tether, but as my ROV was in the water all the speed controls got real glitchy...

Looking like an "A" so far
Did you run the wires for the motors and other exterior features under the fiberglass? How are you sealing the back of your PVC ? What Channel MHz are you running on your 6 channel radio?
Please post more info looks like a very cool build

Very well thought out
Almost makes me want to tear mine apart and start over
How close is your tether from being buoyant?

Well I received my R700 receiver today plugged it into the S400 transmitter and the system work just as described above. Thank you Bikerbones and everyone else.
So my ROV is ready for a depth pressure test and a little wiring to do it will be ready for the first dive

Re: Spektrum DX5e 2.4ghz / .10 Brushless motors / 30amp ESC/
No need for that :o I am powering the Rx off of my 1st Esc and the other 2 Esc have the Red (center wire) cut The whole thing works with the radio (Tx) turned on and the DSC un-plugged but when I turn off the Tx and plug the DSC jack in the radio light come on like it should, but the ESC flash red w...

Does that plug into the Rx I found a switch on Hobby King ID:LUM-ONF it says that its good for 10 amps and 30 volt this should also work I think, says works as an on/off after 50% on any channel Have y...

Re: Spektrum DX5e 2.4ghz / .10 Brushless motors / 30amp ESC/
Bikerbones Yes the s400 does say DSC I have the Yellow wire on the tip of the 3.5 pin and the black Ground on the shaft of the 3.5 pin The black wire is in the same location on the Rx as the battery black wire would be if I had it plugged in. Is there a way t check the yellow wire for a PPM signal I...
