I am a newbie also and I am sure others will comment, but For me I chose to have on board batteries for this very reason. You can have the correct gauge for the current you will need. There is just to much of a drop going through 100 feet or so of cable for me to even consider going that route. Chuck

That is nice! I like the fact that you use all I/O for something if only to light a LED. At first I was going to use a Uno to Uno, but after seeing this I might change. That will work. I was thinking at first I would have to have an expensive USB or Ethernet extender to travel any length. That would have pointed me back to the VEX. Still can't make up my mind though, but if I had all the answers what fun would that be. Thanks.
