Re: Embedded Linux?
Hey, thanks for the reply! Sorry it's a little late, but I was wondering if you have made any progress in embedded linux? I too have some experience in linux for x86 but not too much in the embedded area. I have heard of the Raspberry Pi, and it does sound interesting, however I'm not sure I need so...

Re: What Tether to get?
Right, I ended up using active extender cables because my camera only supported USB 2.0, if you have webcam that uses USB 1.1, these shouldn't be a problem, it doesn't say in the description but these kinds of extenders only support USB 1.1 or 12Mb/s USB 2.0. As for the arduino, the ethernet shield ...

Re: What Tether to get?
I'm not sure what kind of extenders you are using, but I have played with active extenders and didn't have very good results. First off, the majority of extenders only support USB 1.1, not the faster 2.0 that most of today's webcams run off of. The next problem would be powering the USB hub, usually...

Re: Bilge Pump Max Depth
I may be wrong, but I think that as the oil in the above mentioned apparatus compresses, the oil would be denser; so there would be more drag on the motor assembly on top of the drag being applied from the seal, therefore more amps. In professional ROVs I think they use hydraulics to power their thr...
