Re: Arduino: RS485 full-duplex using MAX488

I'm using half duplex between two Mega and max485 chip.

Have three wires between them
Gnd
A
B

Wire that is switching the communication is going from each mega bord to their seperate max485 chip. So you will save two wires if you choose half duplex compared to full duplex.

Re: Relay Amperage

I use this shematic for my ROV with a single pole relay. ROV control.jpg Then you can control one motor both ways with use of two control wires down to ROV. You can find cheap single pole relays on this page http://www.taydaelectronics.com/mini-relay-spdt-5-pins-12vdc-10a-120v-contact.html Only 0,64...

Re: Relay Amperage

You do only need two single pole to connect one thruster. I can upload a shematic if you are interested.

Re: Need WTC Ideas!

About the cooling. I do not know. I have tested them when running the bilge pumps with out any load. The mosfets did not get hot. The only reason why I have used these is since this is the only ones I had available.

Re: Need WTC Ideas!

I have only tested it to 13 meter by just lower it 13 meter in water. I have not found a place near me where there is deeper water. That was before I drilled holes for the connectors. I have not tested it after. But I have tested the connectors to 3 bar without any leak Was not able to test to highe...

Re: Need WTC Ideas!

I made my WTC by using 110mm pipe with a cap on one end and a union on the other. Link to Ahlsell product catalog: http://np.netpublicator.com/netpublication/n68201057 End cap page: 190 Union page: 188 Pipe page 194 I have bought a plastic dome from http://www.ukplasticfabrication.co.uk/Acrylic_dome...
