Update: so after realizing that the wireless PS2 controller signal would not easily travel though the tether i added two K8023. i did have some trouble hooking the K8023s to the PSC28A outputs but all is good now and every thing is happily working. sadly i did lose the ability to latter upgrade to P...

how would one go about connecting a Velleman K8023 with micro controller ?

soldering a wire to the antenna isn't going to work. antennas are tuned components. it may just look like a piece of wire, but it has very specific dimensions.

Ive heard of guys soldering from antenna to antenna via tether.

so this PS2 controller system is working so i thought but after fully testing the RF signal is not going down the tether. I was having the same problem and i have no room for a separate battery pack. I just put the resistor and cap in. Its works like a charm

I use a Go Pro the cam has grater depth rating than my ROV.

but the vid off the screen should look good? if not you may have a conditioning problem you should look in to
