Re: Help with Controller Concept

Hey, I would suggest you to look STM ARM Boards. Maybe cartex M6. You can program them using STM32CubeIDE. The programming language is C, this allows you to have full control of every aspect of the board. Anyways its better to also use a rasbperry since it has an OS and you can run "parallel&q...

Re: Help with Controller Concept

Buenas noches.

Re: Help with Controller Concept

Re: Help with Controller Concept

If you need a lot of processing power in the ROV consider using a PI and an Arduino. It is not the easiest road but gives a lot of options. I am working on using the Arduino for the motors and maybe some sensors. Through a usb connection to my PI I can command the Arduino. But the Pi gives me netwo...

Re: Help with Controller Concept

asesorplaza1 First off, Thank you for the very detailed response. Please note that my Block diagram was intended to be very basic as I was trying to convey what I want to do and ultimately get to a diagram that would show the actual devices first, and then I would get down to drawing a full schemati...

Re: Help with Controller Concept

Thank you fryslan76 for taking the time to offer up suggestions and comments.

Is there a specific Board that you are referring to for the motors? Would you do the motors differently?

Help with Controller Concept

Since joining this Forum, I have read many (and many more) threads showing all kinds of controls from simple wiring to more advanced systems. As I am very new to ROV and controls, I am at the point of being confused as to which way to go next to get started on a control system. I have also just begu...

Re: Joystick controller to replace Xbox360 or Logitech F310

Hi Steve, Thanks for the kudos, much appreciated. To answer your question about the button functions: The three black buttons along the bottom of the front panel control the ROV modes: manual, stable, and depth hold. The two buttons (black and yellow) next to the joystick control camera center (bla...

If you would be willing, I would like to see what you have on the control of the six motors.

I am also very new to Coding and am I the process of trying to learn Arduino and Rapberry Pi.

Thanking you in advance.
