$80 for two 21V brushless drills w/ batteries.
Would work good as track drivers.

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
You went a little overboard encasing the ESC in epoxy...i just meant, thin it with denatured alcohol so it has the consistency of water, and brush it on...thin...lol. And those wires going through the penetrators?? I hope you stripped the insulation off of the part of the wire that goes through the ...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
I looked at your servo. From the description it has rubber seals to keep the screws from leaking, which means it is water-resistant, not really waterproof. The reason water tries to get into our servos is because there is an empty void to fill. Fill that void with mineral oil and the water will no l...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
I strip the wires, then cut a strip from an ice-cream container lid, with little notches to hold the wires separate. Then epoxy all over and ...waterproof. If you are talking about inline bullet connectors, immerse them in a tub filled with mineral oil, plug them together submerged. Mineral oil is n...

Re: Used rov parts
As far as the money goes, for years i put off buying ROV parts because i tend to design 'big' with 60 features. Which makes the $$ total quite large, even buying parts and building it yourself. Each year new tech will hit the market and i'll redesign my ROV to use that. Spending the whole weekend re...

Re: My "MINIRAY" Rov.
Well, it's limited by the bandwidth, 75mbps via twisted pair, or 100mbps via 75-ohm coax. I'll be using coax as my tether.. Other than that it's a normal ethernet connection, so use a 4-port switch (hub, router) in the ROV. My ROV will have a 36" long 8" diameter 3/8" wall aluminum WT...

Re: My "MINIRAY" Rov.
For a year i've been looking at the BlueRobotics FathomX boards, which send ethernet over 2-wire twisted pair, but they want $160. I just found a pair of units on Amazon that send ethernet over twisted pair or coax (100mbps over coax) for $49. I bought 2 pairs. Shipped was $106. https://www.amazon.c...

Re: Bilge with ardusub
Well, the Pixhawk will put out pwm signals, used to control servos or esc's. You would need a brushed-motor ESC like https://www.ebay.com/itm/Waterproof-Brushed-ESC-160A-3S-with-5V-1A-BEC-T-Plug-For-1-12-RC-Car-W/254620955078?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D201909200...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
If you look, Blue Robotics went to a 3-bladed prop on the new T200 thrusters, and most professional ROV's also have 3 bladed props. I believe it's the most efficient in water. They are also usually different from boat props, boat props being designed to work best going forward, while ROV thrusters n...
