Re: Problems Arduino Nano V3 and MAX485 no clear connection
I have used the Techmonkey business code between two nano's with approx 90m of cat6 tether. I used the RS 485 set up and control functions between the nanos work fine. With my project though I couldn't get my I2c compass and depth sensor to work in the final setup, they originally worked then someth...

Re: ROV Nudibranch 11 metre deep sea water test.
So my thrusters are brushless and not sealed at all. The problem I had was with my thru hull connections and bad soldering to the solid rod. Once I fixed that it all ran fine and control is good at depth, I still haven't fitted the video baluns as the live feed hasn't been much of an issue. Batterie...

Re: More footage to come
Thanks mate, Glad you found the pics. I had great intentions of getting out and getting some dive footage when I wrote that last post but unfortunately life got in the way, and I've also been working on a boat towed proton precession magnetometer which sent me a little bit 'crazy mad scientist' this...

Re: Thrusters on Ebay
They look pretty good, might use them as replacements for mine when they corrode too much.

More footage to come
Well Winter has passed here in Tassie, so time to dust off the boat and the ROV and go exploring. I managed to add a third lipo battery to the ROV and also program the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons on the ps2 controller to operate left and right motors separately to hopefully add a bit better manouverabil...

Re: Complete code PS2 controller
So you seem to be getting some progress, if the PS2 controller is switching the master LED on/off then the controller is working fine. You won't get much response from the pins for the motors as they are programmed to control the ESC's for the motors. The LED you connected to the headlight pin on th...

Re: Complete code PS2 controller
So without a picture to see your set up, try breaking it down to just getting an LED to turn on and off. Upload the 'master' code to the Arduino Nano which is connected to the PS2 controller (make sure there are no other connections to the second (Slave) Arduino Nano), ensure code compiles correctly...
