has anyone tryed stripping a multicore cat5 cable and putting it inside some silicon tube to see if it will float. i was thinking of injecting silicon about every meter to make an air pocket and see if it floats. adam The pockets will implode by the water pressure on deeper water. Placement of up/down thruster
My coming ROV consists of a 160 mm PVC-pipe as main hull. I'm thinking of placing the up/down thruster on the bottom of the hull according to the picture attached. Will the hull disturb the waterflow when going down? Should I put a channel through the hull? Any ideas or how have you solved a similar...

It is safe to handle 12V. You can touch the battery poles at the same time with both hands. It's the voltage that goes through the skin.

I'm no expert on this, but can't you use the pump connected to a check valve and a solenoid valve to let the pressure out through a separate pipe.

You can always use a check valve to prevent the water to go backwards
