Re: Pi based, tether-free ROV
It all depends, i think it can be done... but a raspberry pi, isn't realtime. I would suggest an Arduino for the realtime functions.pamoreno wrote:My question is, is this feasible to control a small rov with 4 brushless thrusters two pumps, a 3s lipo battery and a camera all with a single pi?

Re: Easiest way to control ROV over Cat5 (Arduino or RasPi?)
Would that be possible? Would that be almost the simplest way? Possible, sure... if you have the skills or the time to master/learn them. Some have gone this path, Shameless plug of my software/setup https://github.com/Moki38/Moki-ROV2 The easier path is the BlueRobotics path (ardusub), just buy wh...

Re: Hello from Jersey!
So many questions...
- whats the plan with the gps?
- how do you plan to dive (or resurface after the dive)?
- rudders only work with speed (i think) what is the turning radius of your urov?

Re: Raspberry PI based ROV (with Arduino)
As the Arduino Mega is very large... and space is limited in the ROV.
I may switch to the Teensy 3.2 as a controller.
Lets first get this thing going.
