Re: Help with two questions please
Thank you. I think I have got mixed up somewhere(first ROV). You are talking angles right? I am talking an 8 bit PWM signal 0-256. If it was remapped -128 to +128 would that not give me 50% reverse and 50% forward which would then be multiplied by the ESC speed % setting for example a 50% forward wo...

Help with two questions please
The first is in regards to throttling motors. To do this is it simply as easy as changing the PWM signal for example remapping the PWM signal so that 50% would be represented by 0-128, 25% power would be 0-64 etc right? The other question is can someone please explain this dyno test image to me? Wha...

low current brushless
Powering brush less motors takes huge amounts of current and can only seem to find 10a plus motors which gives me about 10 mins thrusts. How can I overcome this?
Or does anyone know where to buy low current brush less motors?

Help with choosing wireless camera
I want to add a wireless camera to my ROV. Would it be better to have a ready made CCTV type or use a module attached to a transmitter(sender) or possibly using wifi? I am kinda stomped as working with a low budget and wondering what the best cost effective way to do this would be?

Types of PVC pipe.
Is ducting pipe suitable underwater or is this different from proper PVC pipe? It is a lot cheaper.

Re: ESC & Arduino Question
Ok thanks, that is what I thought. I was concerned regarding discharge rate may have damaged the battery. AGM should be ok.

Re: ESC & Arduino Question
Anyone tried connecting a lead acid (AGM) battery to ESC and what was the results? I am going to need about 6+ lipoly battery's and is expensive and awkward and was trying to find out if the above would be suitable but can not find much information about it.

Re: ESC & Arduino Question
Thank you.
I am about to build my first ROV in about a month and just doing my research, all this is new to me but will make a project thread when I begin.
I think I will go with 4 cheap boat ESC's as I read car ESC's have problems being used for underwater propellers.

ESC & Arduino Question
Hi I have a few questions and would appreciate any help. 1. Is it possible to get a DC motor to go into reverse with an ESC without the reverse program function? 2. If I am running 4 brushless DC motors do I need to buy 4 individual ESC? Everything I have read says I do but seems costly considering ...
